PLanting guide

We know when it comes to aquascapes and planted tanks or even ponds we want the finished product straight away but sometimes this can not be achieved, all comes down to the budget in mind, but we 1 million% recommend live plants in any tank even in a goldfish bowl. The benefits of live plants is massive (removing carbon dioxide, absorbs ammonia, nitrites) many more benefits, but remember also look amazing!

When it comes the looking after and planting plants,it all depends on the type of plant and graded level of it,the chart goes easy-medium-hard. All plants need light and a source to pull nutrients from eg: fish poo, root tabs, substrates liquid fertilizer.

In vitro

In vitro plants are grown in a laboratory, again depends what type of plant you've purchased on how to plant it,also its look after neads.

Floating plants

Floating plants are always a must in any tank as they pull extra from the water column. Most are graded as easy as long as they have light and water they will gow.

STEMS

Stems are the main staple in any tank, can be tricking to plant but separate individual stems or bunch them together depends on desired effect, use tweezers or fingers and plant at least 3 cm into substrate or sand etc. Some stems don't need to be planted which can be great for breeding tanks etc.

Carpeting and foreground plants

There is a few different hardness levels of these plants but most are easy, simple plants to plant and propagate.Take a bunch and plant into substrate sail ect.

Epiphyte and mosses

Epiphyte plants do not nead planted which makes them some of the most popular in the hobby and also aquascapers, most are easy graded plants. They can be glued to anything that you wish (has to be cyanoacrylate glue) squeezed into gaps the lot.

Mosses have a lot of benefits for any tank also,it can be glued/stuffed/attached by threading to any hardscape or wood etc

Marimo moss balls are different to many other mosses thou as they are a type of algae in a ball shape but can be separated and stuffed into gaps for any effect, they have many brilliant benefits also.
